Student Research Group

Mission

The purpose of this group is to foster community and collaboration among HPM students, while providing opportunities for faculty involvement and feedback. This will be achieved through student research presentations and skill-building workshops; forums for peer review; sharing of research, publication, and funding opportunities and experiences; and regular social and service activities. Additionally, the group will organize student welcome activities and will provide a sounding board for the student graduate-faculty representative.

Membership

This group is open to all graduate students in HPM, though the academic focus will be largely on research (as opposed to practice.) Email invitations will be sent to all HPM students for each meeting. Interested students from related disciplines (for example, sociology and applied economics) are also welcome to attend meetings and functions. However, the central leadership and direction will come from students within HPM.
